The Loneliness café

The idea of the ‘Loneliness Café’ is to provide a safe place where people gather with others. Some will come wanting to be in the presence of others but do their own thing. Others will come for connection and to share in conversation. The Loneliness Café is a ministry of support, compassion, and community.

Coffee and tea is on! And you are invited to come!

Drop in. Hang out.

Bring a friend for coffee and a quiet place to talk.

Enjoy conversation with others.

Bring a book & find a comfortable nook to read in.

Step aside for quiet time or write in a journal.

Participate in colouring a mural.

Peruse resources to support those who are lonely. 

Special interest groups

Activities happen at the same time allowing for participation if you so choose,

 if not that is okay too!

Workshops to be offered in 2024.

1. Handheld Ritual Space -a grounding practice  APRIL 30, 11am-noon
2. Personal Mantra Making - a mindfulness practice  June 18, 11am-noon
3. gratitude leaves - a journaling practice  Oct.1, 11am-noon

During Tuesday Café resources with individual activities to try are available for your use.

WALK WITH ME WEDNESDAY - 11am-noon

satisfies all three!

In partnership with WalkNS, a  2.5km leisurely walk is hosted in the neighbourhood. Join others (rain or shine) leaving from the picnic table on Allan St.

• coaching
• rituals for life transitions
• grief resources
• prayer

The Picnic Table on Alan St. is an invitation to sit down and relax. Talk with the neighbours. Add your prayers to the prayer book provided.

This community project began Jan. 16, 2024.

The project welcomes: suggestions, comments, participants, helping hands.
