Every Tuesday in December, the church is open from 1-6 pm. Drop in for prayer and reflection. Join in scheduled events in the church hall on some Tuesdays (events listed on this page)
We are collecting men's gloves and mittens, scarves, toques, warm socks, and shoe boxes to pack them in. On Tuesday Dec 4, we will pack each box with a pair of gloves, a scarf, a toque, and socks and wrap them for Christmas cheer.
The boxes are given by Mission to Seafarers to the men who come into Halifax working on cargo ships. Most of the workers are not permitted off the ships and many have been working for 6-8 months without seeing their families.
Carolyn Humphreys will lead the exercises. No experience needed. The only equipment needed is yourself. Feel free to invite friends and neighbours.
Meet outside the church at 7 to join in celebrating the season in song. Dress warmly! Hot chocolate at the parsonage following caroling.
The children's program is titled Do You Know Who You Are? The children will draw costumes from a tickle-trunk and, after conversation about each character, will assemble a live nativity scene.
Following worship we share food at our potluck luncheon. Everyone is invited to bring food you'd like to share.
